1 Corporation Induction
==============================
1a Welcome
Welcome to Asylum Industries!
We aim to make your time in EVE as enjoyable as possible. We are here to have fun and make friends, and a lot of ISK wouldn't be bad too!
We want to help new players find the courage to explore this universe and their potential. We may offer you skills, training and ships, but we hope that you too will bring new ideas and possibilities.
Although we are a corporation founded by Minmatar, we offer an equal rights policy and will accept applicants regardless of Race or Bloodline.
1b Player investment
As a precaution new members will not have access to all of the corporation hangars. Showing us you are enthusiastic and trust worthy will allow you to advance within the corporation.
Skills and equipment purchased for new members all cost money. We ask that if you decide you want to leave Asylum Industries you stay with us for at least one whole week. This period will allow you to think about your decision and we can make some money back in that time. After this time if you still feel this way then you may leave.
1c Skills
New members will be provided with several skills which we believe to be essential as a starting point for your future development both within Eve and as a member of Asylum Industries.
Skills will be provided to allow each member to fly Industrial class vessels and cruisers. Ships will be provided for new members, though we may ask that you make use of shared Industrial class vessels from the corporation's ships hangar.
Pilot skills provided:
- Minmatar Industrial
- Minmatar Cruiser
(may vary depending upon your race/preference)
All Learning skills are provided if necessary to speed up your development:
- Analytical Mind
- Instant Recall
- Empathy
- Iron Will
- Spatial Awareness
- Learning
1d Ships
We are able to provide the following vessels upon joining:
- Frigate class: Minmatar Probe
- Frigate class: Minmatar Rifter
If you are unable to pilot a Minmatar frigate arrangements will be made to purchase the equivalent frigate for your race.
Cruiser class vessels will be provided at a later stage.
2 Code of Conduct
==============================
As a member of Asylum Industries you will act as a representative of our beliefs.
We are a peaceful corporation and ask that you respect the following rules:
- no unprovoked violence
- no pod killing (exceptions made for bounty)
- no theft
- not to make use of any game exploits
As a whole we provide fellow members the following benefits:
- a friendly team environment
- safety in numbers
- greater productivity
- a collective of knowledge
- the ability to pool efforts and resources for greater goals
Our joint efforts benefit all members, we do not want members who:
- purposely bring the corporation into conflicts
- take but don't give
- constantly ask other members for loans
3 Mining
==============================
3a Craft
If you are new two EVE then your "Rookie ship" will have to be replaced with one of the earlier mentioned frigates. Better ships allow you to fit more mining laser, drones, and some better defences. If you are mining solo then you may find the Minmatar Probe to be a good chisel as you can fit 2 Miner 1's and some Basic Mining Drones. It has a decent cargo capacity with will mean you needed make as many trips to and from the station with ore. If you are mining in a group then the Rifter may be more useful as it will allow you to carry weapons and a few Miner 1's. You may jettison the ore as described below for a hauler to transport to the station.
3b Lasers
Most ships will allow you to fit a turret, some will allow more than one to be fitted to increase the rate at which you mine. Basic miners should be replaced with Miner 1's immediately. Mining Lasers require a lot of CPU so check your ships CPU output. If mining alone consider taking a weapon for defence.
Mining lasers will be provided:
- Miner 1
3c Drones
The Drone skill is not a high priority for those new to EVE but if you are able to use drones they can be found in the "Corp Assets" hangar. Remember items from this hangar must be repaired and returned here after each use.
Mining drones provided:
- Basic Mining Drone
- Standard Mining Drone
3d Jettisoning a Pod
When mining in a group we advise you to keep placing your ore in a cargo pod. To do this right click on the ore in your cargo and choose Jettison. Then open this pod and keep putting your ore in it. One of our haulers will collect it later. This will save time running to and from the station (cruisers fill their cargos up in no time).
2e Secure Containers
Secure containers may be used to protect your ore. These will be passworded, and are available in the corp assets hangar. To find out about the password please ask in the corp channel.
3f Skills
Each Miner 1 collects 40 units of ore per 60 seconds. For every level you train in "Mining" you add 5% to this. Training it up will make you a more productive miner (if you trained to level 5 you would get 50 units/60 seconds. Furthermore, if you get the "Astrogeology" skill you can get this up to 60 units/60 seconds. You can also increase your mining power by training up your drone skills to use more drones or increase the drone's ore yield.
3g Ore theft
When jettisoning your ore into non-secure pods, anyone who gets within 1.5km of it may take ore from it. While this is a loathsome action, we strongly advise you do not fire up ore thieves while in policed space. Ore thieves fly industrial vessels, do not carry guns, and love to watch the police pod you if you loose your cool and make an act of aggression on them. If you are the victim of an ore thief, report it immediately in the local/corp channels to avoid further incidents. Make a note of the player's name so we can create a list of known criminals on our website.
